The cast, according to Variety, will be headed by Joel David Moore, Ivan Sergei and Jennifer Love Hewitt with Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz, Nicollette Sheridan, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Rita Wilson, Wendie Malick, Camryn Manheim, Peter Stormare, Lin Shaye, Christine Lakin, Hayes MacArthur, Bree Turner and Phil Rosenthal.

Jewtopia playwrights Sam Wolfson and Bryan Fogel co-wrote the screenplay.

"Sergei plays a gentile who falls in love with a Jewish girl (Hewitt) who's only interested in marrying a Jewish man," according to the industry paper. "Moore will play Sergei's Jewish best friend who helps him pretend to be Jewish, but as the gentile delves deeper into the world of Judaism, stereotypes collide, cultures clash, and chaos ensues."

Filming has already begun in Los Angeles.

Jewtopia played 27 previews and 1,052 regular performances at Off-Broadway's Westside Theatre. It concluded its run April 29, 2007.
