The brothers and other honorees will officially receive their awards at the 2011 Writers Guild Awards West Coast Ceremony Feb. 5 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel-Grand Ballroom. A simultaneous East Coast ceremony will take place at the AXA Equitable Center in New York. "Fair Game," which stars Academy Award nominee Naomi Watts and Academy Award winner Sean Penn, is based on the true story of CIA undercover officer Valerie Plame Wilson (Watts), whose involvement with the government was leaked to the press in a move that ended her career and tested her marriage (Penn plays Wilson's husband).
In addition to Jerusalem, which premiered at London's Royal Court Theatre, Jez Butterworth's plays include Parlour Song, The Winterling, The Night Heron, Mojo, Huge and I Believe in Love. His screenplays include "Huge," "The Last Legion," "Birthday Girl" (co-written with his brother Tom), "Mojo" and "Christmas."
