On January 15, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon broadcast from the stage of Bellas Artes in Puerto Rico.

To open the show, Fallon dressed in his Hamilton best and sang “The Story of Tonight” alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda, Rubén J. Carbajal as John Laurens, Brandon Louis Armstrong as Hercules Mulligan, and Simon Longnight as Marquis de Lafayette. The ensemble of the production (which marks the launch of a third national tour) then joined in to kick off the episode.

“It's a mix of all stars from all the productions and incredible new talent,” said Miranda. “Like Donald Webber, he's played Hamilton on Broadway and Burr on Broadway.”

Fallon and Miranda reunited onstage at the Hamilton desk to talk about bringing the show to Puerto Rico, how the show is working to benefit the island’s recovery from Hurricane Maria, his goal to raise $15 million to support artists in Puerto Rico, and more.
