Entitled Joan's Show, performances are scheduled for Aug. 15 at 7 PM and Aug. 18 at 2 PM at the Acorn Theatre.

Joel Vig directs the production with musical direction by Dennis Buck.

The performance piece, written by and starring Copeland, is described in production notes as a "fun-filled performance of songs and stories told by the legendary actress who not only lived through it but tells it all with their unique and hilarious style...She shares her friendships, her adventures, and her misadventure with theatre luminaries such as Danny Kaye, Arthur Miller, Katharine Hepburn, Richard Rodgers, Marilyn Monroe (her sister-in-law), and Noel Coward, among others. You’ll hear songs from her shows and her memories of what it took to become an actress in the good old days (the bad old days, really) when you had to know how to act, not just be the flavor of the week. It may keep you awake!"

Copeland is the sister of playwright Arthur Miller and a veteran of Broadway's The American Clock, Pal Joey, Two by Two and Off-Broadway's The American Plan and Isn't It Romantic?

The Acorn Theatre is located in Manhattan at 410 West 42nd Street. Tickets, priced $66.25, are available at the box office or by calling (212) 239-6200 or visiting www.Telecharge.com.
