News Joberg & Gurner Release Comedy Album "Manhood" Theatre actors and writers David Josefsberg and Jeff Gurner, known for their comedy-music act under the names Joberg & Gurner, release a comedy album called "Manhood" on March 1.

The recording features "18 tracks of cleverly irreverent filth that even their own mothers won't endorse."

The album features full instrumental recordings of their songs, "ranging in style from Latin to metal to R&B to vaudeville and much more." Guest musicians include Andrew Totolos (The Giraffes) on drums, and Steve Lavner (Beauty and the Beast) on keyboards.

The track listings includes "The Dirty Sanchez," "Put an Extra Stitch In Doc," "Karl Malden (My Sweet Hook Nose)," the title track and more.

Josefsberg (The Wedding Singer, Les Miz, Altar Boyz) and Gurner (The Lion King, Five Course Love) bill themselves as "two recovering Broadway performers who now find themselves nurturing their severe case of arrested development by performing their off-color brand of original music/stand-up comedy."

"Manhood" is not for the kids, they warn. The songs "examine topics from befuddling male issues like the brutality of circumcision and what to do when your home office is supplanted by a nursery, to more intimate subjects such as the romance in abstinence and a new mother's post-delivery healing process." For the past three years, Josefsberg has toured with Stephen Lynch, performing Joberg & Gurner songs nightly all over the United States and Europe. Joberg & Gurner will be touring colleges and clubs nationwide in 2010-11.

The "Manhood" disc is available by contacting the writer-actors at www.jobergandgurner.com. It will be on cdbaby.com and iTunes at a later date.
