Joshua Michael Stern directs from an original screenplay by Matt Whiteley.

Kutcher plays the title role, with Book of Mormon Tony nominee Gad as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Eldard is Apple designer Rod Holt; Getz portrays Jobs’ father, Paul Jobs; Warren plays Jobs’ adoptive mother, Clara Jobs; and Woods is Jobs’ former Dean of Students, Jack Dudman. Haas is Apple engineer Daniel Kottke; Modine portrays former Apple CEO John Sculley; and Mulroney is investor and second Apple CEO, Mike Markkula.

"jOBS," according to production notes, "is the powerful and true story of the visionary who set out to change the world…and did. The film chronicles Steve Jobs' transformation of character from the enthusiasm and self-discovery of his youth, to the personal demons that clouded his vision, and finally to the ultimate triumphs of his later life."

The production began principal photography in Los Angeles and Los Altos in mid-June. A winter 2012 release is planned.

A Five Star Feature Film Production, "jOBS" is produced by Mark Hulme.
