The workshop cast features Joe Carroll, Josh Colley, Tyler Hanes, Gregory Haney, Sydney Harcourt, Marc Kudisch, Telly Leung, Melissa McCann, Joseph Medeiros, Julio Monge, Ari Stachel, Barbara Walsh and Paul Whitty.
The Nine Fathers of Ariel has book and lyrics by Ellen Fitzhugh and music by Michael John LaChiusa. It is adapted from the short story “Los Minestreles” by Argentinian writer Luisa Valenzuela.
The musical, according to press notes, "tells the story of a mother's love for her young son, as she uses everything in her power to protect and nurture him in a war-obsessed world."
The creative team for the workshop also includes musical director Or Matias, casting director Tara Rubin and associate choreographer Madeleine Kelly.
LaChiusa, Fitzhugh and Daniele previously collaborated on Los Otros at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.
