Izzard rose to international fame with his double Emmy Award-winning solo show Dress to Kill. The actor-comedian stars opposite Victoria Hamilton, Dana Ivey, Margaret Colin, Michael Gaston and Madeleine Martin in the Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of the Peter Nichols 1967 drama. He will be returning to New York later in the year with his new comedy tour of Sexie at City Center. Quinn ("Saturday Night Live," "Remote Control") moderates four comedians on current topics. The forum offers the guests to express their opinions and comedic takes on political, social and pop culture issues. Chris Rock ("Head of State"), Judy Gold and Greg Giraldo will appear with Izzard. Past guests have included Dave Chappelle, Wanda Sykes, Sarah Silverman, Denis Leary, David Alan Grier, Nick DiPaolo, Jim Norton, Sue Costello and others.
Izzard's past solo shows have included Live at the Ambassadors, Unrepeatable, Definite Article and Glorious. The Yemen-born Brit, however, is also a viable actor boasting many London stagings to his credits — among them the title role in the once-Broadway-bound Lenny Bruce bio of Lenny and the world premiere of David Mamet's The Cryptogram. His film turns include "Velvet Goldmine," "Shadow of the Vampire" and portraying Charlie Chaplin in "The Cat's Meow."
