Joe's Pub will hold a benefit event on Sept. 22 designed to aid the recovery efforts connected to the Sept. 11 destruction of the twin towers of the World Trade Center. The downtown Manhattan cabaret spot is only the latest theatrical organization to lend a hand raising funds for the relief operations. Over the last couple seasons, Joe's Pub has become a popular haunt for theatrical artists, hosting performers like Audra McDonald and Mary Testa and composers such as William Finn and David Yazbek.
In the days since the attacks, theatres across the nation has busied themselves raising money for the victims and the fireman and policeman contributing their services to the recovery.
