News Joey Elrose and Jasmin Richardson Will Star in Memphis Tour Relaunch Joey Elrose and Jasmin Richardson will co-star in the relaunched national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical Memphis, which will begin performances Oct. 15 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, WI.

Tony nominee Christopher Ashley (Xanadu, Leap of Faith) directed the original production of the musical that has a Tony Award-winning book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro (Nice Work If You Can Get It; I Love You, You're Perfect...) and Tony-winning music and lyrics by David Bryan of Bon Jovi fame. The Broadway production ended its run Aug. 5, 2012, after 1,166 regular performances at the Shubert Theatre.

Memphis won four 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Original Score (Bryan and DiPietro), Best Book (DiPietro) and Best Orchestrations (Bryan and Daryl Waters).

Adam Arian will re-create the original Broadway direction by Ashley, and Jermaine Rembert will re-create the original choreography by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys) for the NETtworks tour.

In addition to Elrose (Rock of Ages) as Huey and Richardson (Dreamgirls) as Felicia, the cast will feature RaMond Thomas (Delray), D. Scott Withers (Mr. Simmons), Avionce Hoyles (Gator), Jerrial T. Young (Bobby) and Pat Sibley (Mama).

Completing the tour cast are Keely Beirne, Oyoyo Joi Bonner, Taylor Broadard, Sidney DuPont, Kenny Francouer, Laurie Elizabeth Gardner, Daniel S.Hines, Kyshawn K. Lane, JT McKenzie, Kaitlin Niewoehner, Jonathan Ragsdale, Jonas Shumpert, Eddie Urish, Erika Conaway and Jose Gonzalez.

The tour reflects the work of the original creative team with scenic design by David Gallo, costume design by Paul Tazewell and lighting design by Howell Binkley. Sound design for the tour is by Shannon Slaton.

Prior to the official tour relaunch in Appleton, WI, on Oct. 15, Memphis will tech in Boise, ID, with performances set for Oct. 9-11.
