Yale Rep commissioned the play that is directed by Sam Gold (Seminar, Circle Mirror Transformation). The Realistic Joneses will run through May 12.

The four person cast boasts Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning actor-playwright Letts (August: Osage County, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) and Tony nominee Day (Middletown, Proof, August Osage County) as Bob and Jennifer Jones, respectively, with Fitzgerald (This, Lobby Hero, "The Ice Storm") and Posey (Hurlyburly, "The House of Yes," "Waiting for Guffman") as their neighbors, John and Pony.

Here's how Yale Rep characterizes the play: "Meet Bob and Jennifer, and their new neighbors John and Pony, two suburban couples who have more in common than their identical homes and the same last name on their mailboxes."

The production has sets and costumes by David Zinn, lighting by Mark Barton, sound by Ken Goodwin, projection design by Paul Lieber and dramaturgy by Amy Boratko and Anne Seiwerath.

Eno's play Thom Pain (based on nothing) was a 2004 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Critics embraced his recent play Middletown, which debuted Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre in 2010. His other plays include The Flu Season, Tragedy: a tragedy and Oh, The Humanity and other exclamations.

Yale Rep tickets are available by visiting YaleRep, by calling (203) 432-1234 or by visiting the Yale Rep box office (1120 Chapel Street).
