The world premiere of Lily Thorne’s Peace for Mary Frances has found its complete cast. The new play from The New Group will be directed by Lila Neugebauer and will begin performances Off-Broadway May 8 at The Pershing Square Signature Center.

Joining the previously announced Lois Smith in the title role will be Tony nominee Johanna Day (Sweat, You Can’t Take It With You, August: Osage County) as Franny, Heather Burns (Dinner With Friends, Manchester by the Sea) as Helen, Succession's Natalie Gold as Rosie, Mia Katigbak (Dear Elizabeth, Peer Gynt and the Norwegian Hapa Band) as Bonnie, Paul Lazar (Samara, Tamburlaine) as Eddie, Brian Miskell (The Antipodes, The Flick) as Michael, Melle Powers (The Old Friends; By the Way, Meet Vera Stark) as Clara, and J. Smith-Cameron as (Rectify, True Blood) as Alice.

In Peace for Mary Frances, Mary Frances is 90 years old and ready to die. Born to refugees fleeing the Armenian genocide, her last wish is to pass away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. But her dream collides with reality as three generations of explosive women arrive prepared to battle for their family's legacy.

The Off-Broadway production will officially open May 23 and is scheduled to play through June 17.

Peace for Mary Frances will feature scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Daniel Kluger.
