News John Benjamin Hickey and Daniel Stern Cast in WGN America Drama "Manhattan" Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey and Daniel Stern, who starred in Broadway's The Other Place, have been cast in WGN America's 13-episode drama series "Manhattan," according to Deadline.com.

Hickey and Stern join a cast that also features Rachel Brosnahan (The Big Knife), Ashley Zukerman and Harry Lloyd.

"Manhattan," penned by Sam Shaw and directed by Thomas Schlamme, will follow scientists and their families and is set during the clandestine mission to build the world's first atomic bomb in Los Alamos, NM.

Hickey will play Frank Winter, a physics professor who will lead the Manhattan Project, and Stern will play Glen Babbit, a mentor to the younger physicists working on the project.

Hickey has also been seen on Broadway in Mary Stuart, The Crucible, Cabaret and Love! Valour! Compassion!
