News John Cameron Mitchell to Direct Free Reading of Wirehead The Ars Nova's free Out Loud reading series will continue June 25 with Wirehead.

John Cameron Mitchell will direct the 7 PM reading of Matthew Benjamin and Logan Brown's play. The cast will feature Michael Aronov and Josh Hamilton. "When the development of an intercranial implant that increases human intelligence exponentially creates an economic, social and mental chasm between the 'haves' and the 'have nots'," Wirehead press notes read, "two white-collar workers push their moral limitations to survive in a world that is rapidly leaving them behind."

John Cameron Mitchell wrote and starred in the Off-Broadway musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch and the subsequent film of the same name. He received an Obie Award for his work in the stage version and a Best Director Award at the Sundance Film Festival and a Golden Globe nomination as Best Actor for the film. His most recent film was titled "Shortbus." Mitchell has also appeared on Broadway in Big River, Six Degrees of Separation and The Secret Garden.
