News   John Christopher Jones Is Scrooge Again at McCarter, Dec. 6-30 John Christopher Jones will return to the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ, for the second yuletide in a row, to play Ebenezer Scrooge in the company's production of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol. Michael Unger will again direct the David Thompson adaptation. The show will run Dec. 6-Dec. 30.

John Christopher Jones will return to the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ, for the second yuletide in a row, to play Ebenezer Scrooge in the company's production of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol. Michael Unger will again direct the David Thompson adaptation. The show will run Dec. 6-Dec. 30.

Jones' Broadway credits include the musical The Goodbye Girl and the dramas The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, London Assurance and A Month in the Country. Off-Broadway, he has been in Prin at Manhattan Theatre Club. At the McCarter, he has been seen in Three Sisters and Rough Crossing.

The production features scenery by Ming Cho Lee, costumes by Jess Goldstein, lighting by Stephen Strawbridge, choreography by Rob Ashford and music by Michael Starobin.

The rest of the cast includes Mark Niebuhr as Scrooge’s former business partner, Jacob Marley; Harriett D. Foy as the Ghost of Christmas Present; Susan Pellegrino as Scrooge’s housekeeper, Mrs. Dilber; Simon Brooking as Bob Cratchit;  Judith Hawking as Mrs. Cratchit; and Michael Mandell and Anne O’Sullivan as Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig.
