The 8 PM concert serves as a benefit for Ars Nova's summer concert series, the 54/10 Music Marathon, which runs July 13-24. The series promotes the music of up-and-coming bands.

The concert is also a homecoming of sorts for the Spring Awakening Tony winner who is also rocking the St. James Theatre nightly in American Idiot. Gallagher, Jr. made his debut as a singer-songwriter at the Off-Broadway venue in 2004.

Opening for Gallagher, Jr. will be fellow American Idiot cast members Brian Johnson and Chase Peacock, who comprise Fran Sancisco. An after party, featuring American Idiot cast member Theo Stockman spinning as DJ Theocracy, will follow the concert.

For tickets, priced $75 (including an open bar and after-party invite), visit ArsNova. Ars Nova is located at 511 West 54th Street in Midtown Manhattan.
