News John Guare and Stockard Channing Will Honor Scenic Designer David Rockwell in Between John Guare has written a new play to commemorate the 30th anniversary of famed architecture and scenic design house Rockwell Group titled Between – a new 10-minute short – which will have its world premiere Nov. 3 at NeueHouse (110 E. 25th Street).

The play will premiere as part of an event celebrating the launch of the forthcoming book, What If… ?: The Architecture and Design of David Rockwell, and will star Guare and Stockard Channing.

Jack O'Brien will direct.

The full text of the play is also included in the book which will be released Nov. 30.

According to press notes, Between "is a conversation between two people in a Rockwell-designed restaurant. Over the course of their conversion, souls are searched, secrets are revealed and the transformative power of a space is proven."

Rockwell and Guare collaborated on the 2010 production of A Free Man of Color. Rockwell is a three-time Tony nominee for scenic design; his work is currently represented on Broadway in You Can't Take It With You, Side Show and On The Twentieth Century.
