Presented July 10-11 at 8 PM, the new show, according to press notes, "explodes with energy, taking audiences on a non-stop fever pitch adventure, as [Leguizamo] heats up the stage with vivid accounts of where he’s been and the colorful characters who’ve shaped different facets of his life. From his adolescent memories in Queens, New York, to the early days of his acting career and far beyond — with stories of the outrageous 80’s avant-garde downtown theater scene and anecdotes from major movie sets and roles opposite some of Hollywood’s biggest film stars, John Leguizamo LIVE! is in turns uproarious and heartfelt, laying it bare for anyone willing to come along for the ride." Leguizamo will also bring his new stage show to the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Toronto (July 14-18); The Lensic Performing Arts Center in San Francisco (June 23-24); and to the Indiana Repertory Theatre in Indianapolis (July 31-Aug. 1).
John Leguizamo earned Tony nominations for his solo shows Sexaholix and Freak. He has also appeared in Mambo Mouth and the short-lived revival of David Mamet's American Buffalo. His film credits include "The Summer of Sam," "Moulin Rouge," "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" and "Romeo + Juliet."
