Fourteen productions will comprise the 2007-2008 season, which boasts the most productions in New Victory's history.
Performers from Australia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, France, Ireland, Israel, Norway, Romania, Scotland and the United States will entertain audiences in a line-up that includes new children's productions, classic fairy-tales with a twist, holiday presentations, jugglers, acrobatics, tap dancers, hip-hop and poetry as well as Tony Award winner John Lithgow, who will perform songs from his latest children's album, "The Sunny Side of the Street."
Some highlights follow:
•The Wolves in the Walls (Oct. 5-21). Based on the New York Times best-seller, Wolves is "a multi-media production by The National Theatre of Scotland, created with England's renowned theatre company Improbable (Shockheaded Peter)."
•Mayhem Poets (Oct. 26-Nov. 4) features three New Jersey slam poets who mix hip-hop and humor.
•John Lithgow (Jan. 18-20, 2008). The film/TV/stage star performs songs from his latest recording for kids.
•Rapunzel (March 7-23) is a feisty, funky New York debut for the U.K.'s award-winning Kneehigh Theatre.
•One of a Kind (May 2-11) is based on the emotional real-life journey to Israel by a family of Ethiopian Jews.
Theatregoers who buy tickets for three or more New Victory shows qualify for free membership benefits, including 30 percent savings.
