News John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey to Return to Café Carlyle in October Broadway and cabaret artists John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey will return to the Café Carlyle for five weeks, Oct. 5-Nov. 6, in a new program to be titled The Heart of a Saturday Night.

The show will perform Tuesdays through Thursdays at 8:45 PM, with additional performances Fridays and Saturdays at 10:45 PM.

The acclaimed jazz singers will be accompanied by a quartet led by Pizzarelli, who will play guitar and share vocals with his wife, Molaskey. Other members of the band will include Martin Pizzarelli (bass), Larry Fuller (piano) and Tony Tedesco (drums).

The Carlyle describes the evening as "a mix of familiar standards by Rodgers & Hart, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Duke Ellington, as well as more contemporary tunes by Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits and Jonathan Larson."

Pizzarelli and Molaskey appeared on Broadway together in Dream. Pizzarelli has recorded 20 solo albums, most recently "Rockin' in Rhythm: A Tribute to Duke Ellington" (Telarc), and can be heard on over 40 more as a sideman. Molaskey's other New York stage credits include Sunday in the Park with George, A Man of No Importance, Parade, Songs for a New World, Tommy, Crazy for You, Les Miserables, City of Angels, Chess, Cats and Oklahoma! She has recorded four albums; her latest, "A Kiss to Build a Dream On," was released by Arbor Records.

The Café Carlyle is located in the Carlyle Hotel, 35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue. There is an $85 music charge ($50 bar) Tuesday through Thursday and a $95 music charge ($50 bar) for the Friday and Saturday shows. Dinner is served starting at 6:30 PM.
