Schneider will play the father of Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet). He will appear in the season's eighth episode, which also marks the return of Overstreet.
Schneider has been seen on Broadway in Chicago and Grand Hotel. He is best known for his television work, which includes "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Smallville" and "Nip/Tuck."
As previously reported, Grant Gustin (West Side Story national tour) will make his "Glee" debut as Sebastian, a gay student at Dalton Academy who will come between Kurt and Blaine, in the Nov. 8 episode. Also, Spring Awakening's Jonathan Groff will make a return later in the series, reprising his role as Jesse St. James.
"Glee" airs Tuesday nights on Fox at 8 PM ET.
