News John Simon, Irene Worth Salute Wilde at NY Public Library, March 26 & April 21 Drama critic John Simon and actress Irene Worth will take part in "A Man of Some Importance: Oscar Wilde and the Performing Arts," the New York Public Library's ongoing series commemorating Wilde's centennial.

Drama critic John Simon and actress Irene Worth will take part in "A Man of Some Importance: Oscar Wilde and the Performing Arts," the New York Public Library's ongoing series commemorating Wilde's centennial. A March 26 event will feature Simon, whose theatre reviews appear in New York magazine, lecturing on Wilde's poetry. Simon will also read various Wildean passages. The event will take place at the 20 W. 53rd Street branch of the NYPL.

April 21 will see a concert version of Noel's Coward's musical After the Ball, which is based on Wilde's play Lady Windermere's Fan. Worth and members of the Metropolitan Opera Chorus will take part. The location is the U.S. Custom House at One Bowling Green in Manhattan.
