News John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men to Get 70th Anniversary Revival John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men will be presented at Urban Stages for a 70th anniversary revival opening May 10.

The play, based on Steinbeck's novel, will be directed by Pat Diamond. Vincent Allocca, James Broderick, Elizabeth A. Davis, General Fermon Judd Jr., Eirik Gislason, Jason Grossman, Matthew Floyd Miller (Broadway's Not About Nightingales, The Invention of Love), Trip Plymale (The Robber Bridegroom on Broadway), Justin Swain and Douglas Taurel will star. According to press notes, "Set against the backdrop of the Great Depression, John Steinbeck's masterpiece tells the story of two migrant workers who find employment on a California ranch and finally seem to be within reach of having a home to call their own. But 'the best laid schemes o' mice and men' begin to unravel, forcing ordinary people to make profound choices."

The design team will feature Scott Bolman (light designer), David M. Lawson (sound designer) and Christie Carroll (costume designer).
