PlayBlog John Tartaglia and Judy Gold Are New Givenik Ambassadors (Video) Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q) and Judy Gold (Off-Broadway's The Judy Show: My Life as a Sitcom) are the newest Givenik Ambassadors, joining Anything Goes' Joel Grey, Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark's Reeve Carney and The Book of Mormon's Rory O'Malley.

What is a Givenik? Give·nik (n.) 1. a person whose passion for charity is matched only by his/her passion for all things Broadway; 2. a user of givenik.com.

Here, the Givenik Ambassadors discuss the causes and charities they support in short video blogs. Tartaglia supports Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and Gold supports the Hetrick-Martin Institute and the Family Equality Council.

Through the Givenik Ambassadors Program, fans will have the opportunity to pose questions to upcoming Ambassadors via Givenik’s Facebook and Twitter feeds. The Ambassadors will then answer a selection of questions in their video blogs.

According to Givenik.com, the site "is redefining theatergoing, one ticket at a time. The revolutionary service offers discount, full-price & premium tickets to dozens of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, as well as group rates to all shows, and donates 5% of the ticket price to the charity of the ticket-buyer’s choice. Give money, save money, see a show—it’s a win-win-win situation."
