Previews at the Off-Broadway venue began March 17.

ImaginOcean "follows the undersea adventures of a group of fish friends, who uncover a treasure map that leads them to learn about themselves and ultimately uncover the treasure of each other's friendship."

The production takes "audiences on a one hour magical underwater journey full of surprises and special effects. The seafaring stars Dorsel, Tank and Bubbles open an enchanted world of aquatic adventures where they meet jiving jellyfish, a strong-willed seahorse and a new friend, lovable Leonard the Octopus."

Donna Drake directs a cast that includes Ryan Dillon (Dorsel), Stacey Weingarten (Bubbles), James W. Wojtal, Jr. (Tank), Lara Maclean, Carole D'Agostino, Nate Begle, Jonathan Carlucci and Brian T. Carson, all making their Off Broadway debuts.

Producers are Jellyfish Jive Productions, Tartaglia, Philip Katz of Broadway Theatrical and musical theatre performer Michael Shawn Lewis.

In a statement Tartaglia said, "It's a perfect musical for the entire family. It has a wonderful story, an amazing score and great humor. We've created a theatrical experience that's a perfect first show for kids, and the spectacular production will certainly capture the imagination of all ages."

The production also features an original score with music and lyrics by composer William Wade, puppets designed and built by the artists at The Puppet Kitchen and set design by Robert Kovach.
