A new drama penned by playwright Jon Robin Baitz has been picked up by ABC for the upcoming television season.

Variety reports that "Brothers & Sisters," which stars Calista Flockhart, will be among the new dramatic series on the ABC network. Ken Olin directs the series, which is being executive produced by Baitz, Olin and Marti Noxon. The "Brothers & Sisters" pilot — about siblings who must run a family business after the death of their father — also featured Rachel Griffiths, Ron Rifkin, Balthazar Getty, Jonathan LaPaglia, Dave Annable, Patricia Wettig, John Pyper Ferguson, Sarah Jane Morris and Tony Award winner Betty Buckley.

Jon Robin Baitz's plays include The Paris Letter, Ten Unknowns, Mizlansky/Zilinsky or Schmucks, A Fair Country, The Film Society, The Substance of Fire, The End of the Day and Three Hotels. He also penned the screenplays for "The Substance of Fire" and "People I Know."
