The Netflix series has been picked up for Season 2.

Netflix’s new original series Mindhunter, starring Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany, has been picked up for a second season.

Groff and McCallany play the FBI detectives who interviewed imprisoned violent criminals to understand their behavior, the first to use behavioral psychology to understand serial killers and solve crime.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series from David Fincher announced its renewal via Twitter saying, “We need to talk to more subjects.”

The series first dropped on the streaming platform this past October. Created by Joe Penhall (The Road) and executive-produced by Fincher, who directed four episodes, along with Joshua Donen, Charlize Theron and Cean Chaffin, the show is based on the book by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker, Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit.
