News Jonathan Hyde and David Bamber to Star in Travels with My Aunt at London's Menier Chocolate Factory Half the cast has been announced for the new production of Travels with My Aunt, adapted for the stage by Giles Havergal from Graham Greene's novel, that will begin performances May 2 prior to an official opening May 8, for a run through June 29 at London's Menier Chocolate Factory.

Jonathan Hyde and David Bamber will be amongst the four actors in this anarchic comedy, which tells the story of retired bank manager Henry Pulling, and his globetrotting adventures with his Aunt Augusta. From Brighton to Istanbul to Paraguay, the unlikely pair journey together discovering colorful characters and the possibilities that life conjures up in the most unusual of places.

Hyde was last seen on the London stage in The King's Speech, and has previosuily worked extensively for the National (where his credits include Jumpers, Sleep With Me and The Duchess of Malfi) and the RSC (King Lear, The Seagull, Romeo & Juliet). TV credits include "Foyles War," "Spooks" and "The Queen," and film work includes "The Mummy," "Titanic," "Anaconda," "Jumanji" and "Richie Rich."

Bamber was last seen on the London stage in Sweet Smell of Success at the Arcola. Other recent theatre credits include Betty Blue Eyes (Novello), Absurd Person Singular (Garrick) and Otherwise Engaged (Criterion). TV credits include "The Paradise," "The Hollow Crown" and "Borgias and Psychoville." Film includes "Miss Potter," "The Railway Children," "Neville's Island," "My Night with Reg" and "High Hopes."

The show is directed by Christopher Luscombe, with designs by Colin Falconer, lighting by Oliver Fenwick and sound by Gregory Clarke.
