Center Theatre Group artistic director Michael Ritchie announced the upcoming Los Angeles stage's 2006-2007 lineup April 14. "Our 40th Anniversary Season at the Ahmanson Theatre will not only carry on the tradition of offering a broad range of the highest quality theatrical entertainment, it will also just plain knock your socks off," boasted Ritchie. The CTG/Ahmanson Theatre new year (subject to change) will lineup as follows:

  • Doubt by John Patrick Shanley (Sept. 22-Oct. 29) directed by Doug Hughes
  • The Light in the Piazza Book by Craig Lucas, music and lyrics by Adam Guettel (Oct. 31-Dec. 10) directed by Bartlett Sher
  • Edward Scissorhands Devised, directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne (Dec. 12-31)
  • Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Feb. 6-March 18, 2007) directed by Anthony Page
  • Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose (March 28-May 6, 2007) directed by Scott Ellis
