News Jordan Harrison's Futura to Debut in NAATCO Production Oct. 22; Casting Announced Futura, a new play by Jordan Harrison that "ponders, among other things, whether a font can change the future," will have its world premiere Oct. 22-Nov. 13. The National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO) will present the production at TBG Theater.

Liz Diamond will direct a cast including Edward Hajj, Mia Katigback, Angela Lin and Jon Norman Schneider. Opening night is scheduled for Oct. 26.

According to NAATCO notes, "On her first day back at the University, a rogue Professor sets out to avenge her missing husband – and the lost art of ink on paper – by conducting a dangerous lesson on typography. The design team will comprise David Evans Morris (set design), Olivera Gajic (costume design), Raquel Davis (lighting design), Matt Hubss (sound design) and Tal Yarden (projections design).

Harrison's plays include Doris to Darlene, Amazons and Their Men, Act a Lady, Finn in the Underworld, The Museum Play and Kid-Simple.
