PlayBlog Jordin Sparks Will Sing the National Anthem at the MLB's All-Star Game "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks, who was seen on Broadway in In the Heights and recently performed at the Capitol for the 4th of July, is set to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" July 12 at Major League Baseball's 82nd All-Star game, to be held at the Chase Field in Phoenix, according to The Associated Press.


The "Idol" star recently sang the national anthem for the "Capitol Fourth" concert from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol as well as the title song from Beauty and the Beast. In case you missed her performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner," you can catch it next week when the game airs live on Fox at 8 PM ET.

During MLB's All-Star Week, Sparks will also participate in a celebrity softball game with Nick Jonas (West End's Les Misérables) and Chord Overstreet ("Glee"). All-Star Week will also feature performances from Cee Lo Green, Jason Aldean, Michelle Branch and Bernie Williams.
