News Jose Llana and Enrico Rodriguez Set for Reading of New Musical Costs of Living New York Theatre Barn will present private readings of the new musical Costs of Living Nov. 7-8 in Manhattan.

The readings will feature the talents of Jose Llana (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Enrico Rodriguez (Zanna, Don’t!; Rent), Sarah Corey, David Foley Jr., Kathryn Holktamp, Brian Jose, Austin Ku and Jaygee Macapugay.

Marlo Hunter directs with music direction by Mark T. Evans and stage management by John Michael Crotty.

Costs of Living has book, music and lyrics by Timothy Huang.

Inspired by a 2009 New York Times article, Costs of Living, according to press notes, "follows two Chinese immigrants who have come to New York in pursuit of the American dream. Sharing a taxi and a bed to make ends meet, their lives diverge, ending in tragedy."
