Eric Louie and Anika Chapin co-direct the limited engagement that will run Aug. 14-27 and feature cast members Melissa Joyner (Fell), Rory Lipede (STEP!) and Jehan O. Young (365Days/365Plays).
Real life stories inspired Rivers' work which, according to press notes, "revolves around Melissa, Rory, and Jehan, three women living in New York City. In the play, these young women look at the world around them and examine how life has drastically evolved for their modern generation. With the onset of the internet and online dating, how can we truly settle down when the options seem to be endless? And in this fast paced world where careers can be a primary focus, what do we lose in the process? In the play Melissa, Rory, and Jehan attempt to answer these questions and more while they explore the very nature of love, loss, and ultimately their own humanity."
T. Rick Hayashi provides lighting design with production design by Alecia Joyner and Jesca Prudencio, and music supervision by Alex Onish.
