News Judi Dench May Return to London Stage in New John Logan Play Tony and Oscar-winning actress Judi Dench, who will be seen in the new James Bond film "Skyfall," may return to the London stage.

The New York Post reports that Dench will play "an aging Alice in Wonderland" in a currently untitled play written by Tony winner John Logan (Red).

Michael Grandage, currently represented on Broadway with the just-opened revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Evita, will direct the production, which is aiming for a fall West End bow prior to a Broadway run shortly after. The West End cast will also include Ben Whishaw.

The play, according to the New York daily, concerns an older Alice, who "looks back on her life, both real and imagined. She's visited by various fairy-tale characters from Wonderland."

No official announcement about the production has been made.

Dench won a Tony Award for her performance in Amy's View. She won her Academy Award for her work in "Shakespeare in Love."
