Actress-singer Judy Kuhn will host the second annual Bound for Broadway evening May 13.

The once-a-year event presents sneak previews of several new musicals by emerging and established writers who have new works developing. In addition to selections from 10 different shows, the evening will also include interviews with the writing teams. At press time, the musicals that will be included in the event follow:

  • About Face by David Arthur and Jeffrey Lodin
  • Adventures in Love by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich
  • Dinner at Eight by Ben Schaechter, Frank Evans and Julie Gilbert
  • The Enchanted Cottage by Allison Hubbard and Kim Oler
  • Feeling Electric by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey
  • Great Expectations by Doug Katsaros and Edwin Wilson
  • Little Ham by Judd Woldin, Dan Owens and Richard Engquist
  • Musical of Musicals by Joanne Bogart and Eric Rockwell
  • Pablo by Charles Bloom
  • Precious Little Jewel by Jeff Blumencrantz and Libby Saines

Among the performers set to sing tunes from the aforementioned musicals are Heather Mac Rae — of Falsettos fame — and Andre Garner, who starred in the revival of Meredith Willson's The Music Man. Host Judy Kuhn garnered Tony nominations for her work in She Loves Me, Chess and Les Misérables. Her other theatrical credits include Rags, King David, the City Center Encores! production of Strike Up the Band and the Los Angeles premiere of Sunset Boulevard. Bound for Broadway will be held at the Merkin Concert Hall, which is located in the Abraham Goodman House at 129 W. 67th Street.
