Murney, who starred as Queenie in Lippa's The Wild Party Off-Broadway, performs alongside Colella (High Fidelity), Reichard (Jersey Boys) and von Essen (Xanadu), as well as Annaleigh Ashford (Legally Blonde), Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening) and Betsy Wolfe (Everyday Rapture).
The 7 PM benefit concert promises a "behind the music" style event, with Lippa offering his favorite songs and previously unheard material. Addams Family musical director Mary Mitchell-Campbell is music director.
Lippa earned a Tony Award nomination for the score to The Addams Family. He has also penned the musicals The Wild Party, john & jen, A Little Princess and additional songs for the Broadway production Youʼre A Good Man, Charlie Brown. He is currently at work on the new musical The Man in the Ceiling for Disney Theatrical.
Lippa served as an artist-in-residence at Ars Nova and co-founded the emerging composer series Uncharted. All proceeds from the concert will benefit Ars Nova's programming and development initiatives.
