The last -- and only -- chance to see actors-singers-performers Christine Toy Johnson and Ann Harada in a recreation of the famed 1962 Carnegie Hall concert performed by Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett comes up this weekend. Julie and Carol at Carnegie Hall is running a busy press performance Sept. 30, but still has space available for the closing show, Oct. 3 at the Triad on West 72 Street.

Johnson and Harada were last seen in the Alan Muraoka-directed version of Falsettoland, which was produced last year by the National Asian American Theatre Company at the Dimson Theatre in NYC.

The trio reunites with Julie and Carol in a tribute that will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Johnson and Harada play understudies who must perform as Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett, respectively, so that the historic Carnegie Hall show can go on.

"We pretty much recreate their show song for song," Harada told Playbill On-Line. "We use their material, but we've dropped a few things -- like the numbers with the Ernest (Ernie) Flatt Dancers -- because we just couldn't do them." Harada said that she and Johnson have added a few things to the program, such as a bit that Carol Burnett did on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1959. Originally broadcast by CBS, "Julie and Carol at Carnegie Hall" was a real life highlight in both stars' careers. The October tribute with Johnson and Harada also features Bruce Alan Johnson, as well as musical direction by John O'Neill. It will be performed at 8:00 PM, Oct. 3 at The Triad, 158 West 72 Street, NYC. Cover charge is $15, with a $10 food/drink minimum. For reservations call (212) 362-2590.
