Broadway legend Julie Andrews will appear on Rosie O'Donnell's talk show Wed., Sept. 23. Andrews will be promoting the upcoming Sept. 28 Carnegie Hall diva fest, "My Favorite Broadway - The Leading Ladies," which the actress will host. The concert, which will feature Betty Buckley, Chita Rivera, Ann Reinking and others, will be recorded for later release as a CD and a video cassette. No record label or release date for the CD has been announced.
A member of the Theatre Hall of Fame, Andrews' credits include My Fair Lady and Camelot. Her last Broadway show was Victor/Victoria. O'Donnell, famous for inviting theatre talents onto her show, started up her new season Aug. 31.
O'Donnell's show airs in New York on channel 7 at 10 AM. Check local listing for times and stations.
Another theatre notable, Lillias White (The Life, Dinah Was) will perform on "Rosie" Sept 17.
