News Julie Gold Will Host They Write the Songs, Featuring Work of Amanda Green, Georgia Stitt, Rick Jensen, Drew Fornarola and More The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will present the 3rd Annual They Write the Songs Nov. 16 at 4 PM in the Engelman Recital Hall at the Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Grammy winner Julie Gold will host the evening, which features the work of selected songwriters, both well-established and up-and-coming.

The songwriters who will present their songs include Amanda Green, Georgia Stitt, Rick Jensen, Ritt Henn, Drew Fornarola, Joshua Cohen and Tracy Stark. Elena Shaddow, Caitlin Kinnunen, Jessica Vosk, Marissa Mulder, Julie Reyburn, Eric Yves Garcia, Justin Ritchie, Mary Foster Conklin, Stearns Matthews and Jamie Salzano will be among the performers.

Tracy Stark is the musical director.

The evening will also feature presentations of the Dottie Burman Award and the John Wallowitch Award. Songs written by these recipients will also be performed.

The event will culminate with an interview of songwriter Green conducted by host Gold and a performance of several of her songs. A reception for all ticket holders will follow the performance.

The Engelman Recital Hall at the Baruch Performing Arts Center is located at Lexington Avenue at 25th Street. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 day of show. (Order before Nov. 1 with the code EARLYBIRD for $15 tickets.) Tickets are available by clicking here.
