Once again working with her musical director husband, Mike Greensill, Whitfield sings an eclectic mix of songs on the 15-track disc "In My Life." Arrangements are by Greensill, who is heard on piano. John Wiitala is on bass.
The new disc coincides with a gig by the trio at Manhattan's Le Jazz Au Bar Jan. 11-23. The new show, Pure Imagination: Songs for the New Year, plays 7:30 PM Tuesday-Sunday and 10 PM Friday-Saturday. For reservations, call (212) 308-9424.
