News Karen Finley to Debut Unicorn Gratitude Mystery Off-Broadway The renowned performance artist will present her latest work in New York.

Obie-winning performance artist Karen Finley will present the word premiere of her new work, Unicorn Gratitude Mystery, July 31-August 21 Off-Broadway. The show is made up of three related short works.

In Unicorn, Finley examines America’s obsession with the white-horned mystical creature; in Gratitude, she muses on the narcissistic tendencies that drive gentrification today; and in Mystery, she explores what happens when we give in to the fear of the unknown.

Performances will take place at the Laurie Beechman Theater.

Finley is a performing artist, writer, musician, poet, teacher and lecturer. Previous works include Make Love, George & Martha, The Jackie Look, The American Chestnut, A Certain Level of Denial and The Return of The Chocolate Smeared Woman and Written in the Sand.
