Boggess (Broadway's The Little Mermaid, Master Class and London's Love Never Dies) was previously announced.

Here's how producers characterize the show: "Based on the classic Daphne du Maurier novel, Rebecca is the story of Maxim de Winter, his new wife ('I') and Mrs. Danvers, the controlling and manipulative housekeeper of Maxim's West Country estate of Manderley — where the memory of his first wife, the glamorous and mysterious Rebecca, still casts a shadow." Tam Mutu, who is appearing with the support of Actors' Equity Association, appeared as Anatoly in Michael Harrison's production of Chess at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. He was part of the original cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical Love Never Dies at London's Adelphi Theatre, as the Alternate Phantom. In addition to his work in musicals, Mutu's theatrical experience also includes work with The National Theatre, The Royal Court and The Royal Shakespeare Company. His work as a member for the National Theatre Company includes Longaville in Love's Labour's Lost, Anything Goes, South Pacific and Royal Hunt of the Sun. He appeared in Orange Peel at the Royal Court and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company for a season where his work included Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet and Edmund in King Lear.

Direction is by Tony Award winner Michael Blakemore (Kiss Me, Kate; City of Angeles; Noises Off) and Francesca Zambello (The Little Mermaid). Multiple Tony-nominated director-choreographer Graciela Daniele (Ragtime) will create the musical staging for the show.

"Rebecca," which was also a 1940 Academy Award-winning film by Alfred Hitchcock, is a suspense novel by British writer du Maurier that begins with the famous line, "Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again."

Scenic design is by Peter J. Davidson, costumes by Jane Greenwood, lighting by Mark McCullough, sound by Peter Fitzgerald, special effects by Gregory Meeh and projections by Sven Ortel. Musical direction and supervision is by Kevin Stites.

Rebecca will be produced on Broadway by Ben Sprecher, Louise Forlenza, The Shubert Organization, Tony Fusco, Larry Feinman, Nanda Anand and Peter Bogyo by special arrangement with/and based on the Vereinigte Buhnen Wien GmbH production.

Rebecca had its world premiere in 2006 by Vereinigte Buhnen Wien at the Raimund Theater in Vienna, where it played for more than three years. Productions have also played Budapest, Hungary; Helsinki, Finland; Stuttgart, Germany; St. Gallen, Switzerland and at the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo.
