According to press notes, Social Life is an innovative new musical driven by electro-pop tracks that utilize "technical elements that have never been used in the theatre before."

The story lends a critical eye to a family so saturated in a world full of technology and social media that they lose human connection with one another. "Tweeting at the dinner table, vlogging, online shopping and one incredibly snarky smart phone are commonplace."

Conceived and co-written by Chris Myers, the writing team includes Ricky Dunlop (book and lyrics), Jeremiah Rosenthal (music) and Alex Kantor (additional book and lyrics).

The readings are directed by Mindy Cooper (50 Shades! The Musical, Soul Doctor Off-Broadway) with musical direction from Jeffrey Saver (Chicago, End of the Rainbow) and casting by Stephanie Klapper.

Also featured are Beth Stafford Laird, Susan G. Bob, Dan Tracy, Kelly King, Jake Mckenna and Michael Lorz.

The invite-only readings take place Feb. 8 at The Tribeca Grand Theater and Feb. 9 at Pearl Studios. For more information on the production, please visit SocialLifeTheMusical.com
