News Karen Ziemba Set for Free Shakespeare in Vegas Reading Tony Award-winning actress Karen Ziemba will head the cast of a public workshop presentation of Suzanne Bradbeer's comedy Shakespeare in Vegas, April 12 at The Drilling Company.

Ziemba (Steel Pier, Chicago, Contact, Curtains) will step into the role of "Margot, a talented New York actress who accepts the role of a lifetime, Cleopatra, in Antony and Cleopatra in a less than typical location for Shakespeare - Las Vegas! When she finds herself fighting for stage attention with chorus girls trying to add magic to the act, she discovers a world of calamity, danger and heart in this new comedy."

Giovanna Sardelli directs a cast that also features Hamilton Clancy, Geneva Carr, Trish Alexandro and Tom Pelphrey; show time is 8 PM.

Shakespeare in Vegas is presented as part of the Drilling Company's "Discovery Series," which provides playwrights, actors and directors a month-long workshop period prior to a public reading.

Admission to Shakespeare in Vegas is free, but there is a suggested donation of $7. For reservations phone (212) 873-9050. The Drilling Company is located at 236 West 78th Street (on the 3rd floor).
