Five-time Grammy Award-nominated jazz singer Karrin Allyson will hold court July 18–22 at Birdland cabaret in Manhattan performing songs from her 2015 album Many a New Day, which celebrates the works of Broadway songwriters Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.

Allyson is scheduled to perform two shows a day, at 8:30 and 11 PM.

Many a New Day was the 16th album for the vocalist, and while a spokesperson told Playbill that she tends to rearrange her playlist for each performance, she will be drawing on songs from the CD, which include “Oh, What A Beautiful Morning,” “Happy Talk,” “I Have Dreamed,” “Out of My Dreams,” “Something Wonderful,” “Edelweiss," and “This Nearly Was Mine” to create “a very intimate look at the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein.”

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musicals include Oklahoma!, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, and The King and I. The Birdland appearance is part of Allyson’s international concert tour that will take her to the U.K., Switzerland, Italy and back to the U.S. See a complete list of planned stops here.

Tickets for Birdland cost $40, plus a $10 food/drink minimum. Click here to order tickets. Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street in Manhattan.
