News   Kate Baldwin and Jason Danieley Dance a Can-Can, Opening Tonight at the Paper Mill The Paper Mill Playhouse's Broadway-bound production of Cole Porter's Can-Can, which kicks off the New Jersey venue's 2014-15 season, officially opens Oct. 5 at 7 PM following previews that began Oct. 1.

Directed by David Lee with choreography by Patti Colombo, performances continue through Oct. 26.

The cast is led by Tony nominee Kate Baldwin as Pistache and Jason Danieley as Aristide.

They are joined by Michael Berresse (Hilaire Jussac), Greg Hildreth (Boris Adzinidzinadze), Michael Kostroff (Jean-Louis), Mark Price (Hercule), Justin Robertson (Étienne) and Megan Sikora (Claudine) with Mike Baerga, Chloe Sian Campbell, Jace Coronado, Desireé Davar, Sarah DeBiase, Taurean Everett, Sarah Marie Jenkins, Evan Kasprzak, Jenny Laroche, Kate Marilley, Michael McArthur, Sarah Meahl, Peter Nelson, Justin Patterson, Molly Tynes and Ryan Worsing.

Paper Mill Playhouse is launching the Broadway-bound production of the Porter classic with producing partner Jonathan Burrows.

The musical features a book by Abe Burrows and a re-crafted script by Joel Fields. Can-Can’s score includes “I Love Paris,” “C’est Magnifique,” “It’s All Right With Me” and more. The musical, according to Paper Mill, is described as such: "Pistache, a Parisian café owner, decides to feature the scandalous dance the Can-Can, but will her defiance of the law end her business and her love life?"

The creative team also includes music director/conductor/arranger/orchestrator Steve Orich, scenic designer Rob Bissinger, costume designer Ann Hould-Ward, lighting designer Michael Gilliam, sound designer Randy Hansen, hair, wig and makeup designers Rob Greene and J. Jared Janas, fight director Tim Weske, Tara Rubin Casting (casting) and production stage manager Gary Mickelson.
