Peters has been a member of MTC’s board since 1982, when she co-starred with Christine Baranski in Sally and Marsha. She is currently the longest serving member board member after Artistic Director Lynne Meadow and Executive Producer Barry Grove.

Richard Maltby, Jr., Peters’ Song and Dance director, will helm the evening, which will include creative team members Justin Townsend (lighting design), Dan Gerhard (sound design), and Marvin Laird (musical director). The stage management team is James Fitzsimmons and Jereme Kyle Lewis.

Peters received both Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her performance in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance. She earned her second Tony for her work in Annie Get Your Gun. She also received Tony nominations for her performances in Sam Mendes’ revival of Gypsy, Neil Simon’s The Goodbye Girl, Stephen Sondheim’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Sunday in the Park with George, the Jerry Herman-Gower Champion Mack and Mabel, and the Leonard Bernstein-Comden and Green musical On The Town. In addition to these honors, Peters earned a Drama Desk nomination for her portrayal of the Witch in Into the Woods.
