Turnbull, who appeared regionally in Maple and Vine and Doubt, will play the daughter of Tony Award nominee Chalfant (Wit, Angels in America) and Tony winner Easton (The Invention of Love, The Coast of Utopia).

Keen Company artistic director Carl Forsman will stage the 1983 play that will officially open March 6, 2012, for a run through April 22, 2012. It marks the first New York revival of Howe's play.

Here's how the Keen Company bills the play: "In Painting Churches, we meet the Church family: Fanny (Chalfant) and Gardner (Easton). They are packing, about to move to a beach home on Cape Cod. Gardner is a poet and Fanny is from a "fine old family." Their daughter Margaret (Turnbull), an artist who lives in New York, has arrived to help them pack and paint their portrait."

Painting Churches premiered Off-Broadway Feb. 8, 1983, at the McGinn-Cazale Theatre, produced by Second Stage. It transferred to the Lamb's Theatre where it ran for 206 performances. Painting Churches was filmed for PBS' "American Playhouse" starring Sada Thompson, Donald Moffat and Roxanne Hart.

The Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row is located at 410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues. For tickets, call (212) 239-6200 or visit Telecharge.com.
