News Kate Wetherhead and Wade McCollum Say "Willkommen" to Dallas Cabaret, Opening April 29 The Dallas Theater Center production of Kander and Ebb's Cabaret, starring Kate Wetherhead as Sally Bowles opposite Wade McCollum as the Emcee, officially opens April 29.

Joel Farrell directs and choreographs the Tony-winning classic that began previews April 23 and will run through May 22.

Wetherhead appeared in the DTC productions of It’s A Bird… It’s A Plane… It’s Superman! and Sarah, Plain and Tall. She has also been seen on Broadway in Legally Blonde and Spelling Bee. McCollum appeared in the Broadway and national tour of Jersey Boys.

Cabaret also features Chamblee Ferguson (Ernest Ludwig), Lee Trull (Clifford Bradshaw), Sally Nystuen Vahle (Fräulein Kost), Julie Johnson (Fräulein Schneider), David Coffee (Herr Schultz), Walter Lee Cunningham, Jr (Frenchie), Katharine Gentsch (Rosie), Tiffany Hobbs (Fritzie), Elise Lavallee (Helga), Traci Lee (Texas), Jason Moody (Hans), Alex Ross (Victor), Teddy Spencer (Max), Merrill West (Lulu) and Kent Zimmerman (Bobby).

The production has scenic design by Bob Lavallee, costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu and sound design by Ray Nardelli. Elaine Davidson is musical director.

Cabaret features a book by Joe Masteroff, based on the John Van Druten play "I Am a Camera" and the original stories by Christopher Isherwood. John Kander and Fred Ebb penned the Tony-Award winning score to the musical that features such hits as "Willkommen," "So What," "Don't Tell Mama" and the title song.
