News Kate Wetherhead, Blake Whyte, Jonathan Raviv and More Set for Industry Readings of New Musical One Good Day Industry presentations of the new musical One Good Day will be offered Nov. 17 at the home of Jenny and Roy Niederhoffer and Nov. 18 at MTC Studios.

The new musical has book and lyrics by Liz Suggs and music by Rona Siddiqui. The cast includes Kate Wetherhead, Blake Whyte, Jonathan Raviv, Nanci Zoppi, Eleisha Eagle, Chris McFarland, Giana DeGeiso, Mackenzie Grey, Emily Rosenfeld, Zachary Unger and Dakota Mackey-McGee.

"In the tradition of 90's rom-com movies," One Good Day, according to press notes, "follows Janey Hanks through a 24-hour period to test her philosophy that all it takes is one good day to change your life forever. It explores whether or not we expect too much or too little out of life-- the difference between contentment and settling, discontentment and hope."

One Good Day has been workshopped in NYC, San Francisco, and most recently in L.A. at the ASCAP/Dreamworks Musical Theatre Workshop with Stephen Schwartz. Since then, writers Suggs and Siddiqui have been named the recipients of the 2014 ASCAP Mary Rodgers Lorenz Hart Award.
